Honoree Dinner    2003    2002     2001

2003
This year, Washington State Jobs With Justice celebrated A Decade of Activism for Justice at our annual dinner on October 25th, honoring some of those who’ve stood out in the fight for social justice. This was our largest and most successful dinner to date, with over 400 people attending.

We honored local heroes committed to our goals of immigrant workers’ rights, worker organizing impacted by war and global justice. The honorees were:

  • Sergio Salinas and SEIU 6’s Justice for Janitors Campaign
for fighting for low-wage immigrant workers’ rights through creative, direct action bringing together faith, community, labor, and student groups.

for being one of the first Seattle-area groups to tie together issues of Social Justice and peace through their Support the Poor! No More War! march and rally in January.
